RHAMNUS f. 'ASPLENIFOLIA' FERNLEAF BUCKTHORN

The 'Asplenifolia' cultivar of thornless buckthorn is distinguished by its cutleaf, fern-like, medium green foliage and attractive transformation of red summer berries maturing to black in the fall.  During autumn, the foliage turns a vibrant yellow, adding seasonal interest. Optimal growth occurs in moist, well-drained, and nutrient-rich soils with morning sun and afternoon shade.
