ABIES balsamea phanerolepis CANAAN FIR

The Canaan fir, a member of the pine family, is an evergreen tree characterized by its needled foliage. It thrives when planted in areas with full sun to partial shade. While it is more tolerant of wet soils compared to other fir species, the Canaan fir ideally grows in moist, well-drained sandy loam soils with an acidic pH. This attractive tree boasts a formal, densely-branched conical shape and features short, dark blue-green needles. It serves as an excellent choice for accent planting, small groupings, screening purposes, or as a Christmas tree.
