NYSSA sylvatica BLACKGUM

The blackgum tree has glossy green foliage and a pyramidal shape when young that spreads with age.  It has fragrant flowers and does well in urban conditions.  This tupelo has beautiful fall color with yellow/orange/scarlet colors and the fissured grey bark on the trunk provides winter interest.
