PRUNUS serrulata 'KWANZAN' CHERRY
The Kwanzn Cherry tree is rounded, spreading, has stiffly ascending branches, and is in the rose family. Kwanzan being the showiest of all cherry trees, its flowers aren't just pink...but double pink, meaning that you get twice the petals and twice the blooms. It has lovely peach colored fall foliage.
Kwanzan Trees are most famous for being planted in Washington D.C. as a gift from Japan in 1912.
