QUERCUS imbricaria SHINGLE OAK

QUERCUS imbricaria SHINGLE OAK

Native to Ohio, the Shingle Oak is a large shade tree with beautiful glossy dark green foliage. It was historically used by pioneers to make shingles, resulting in its name. The smooth-edged, bristle-tipped, narrow green leaves are willow-like thus making it a good sub for the Willow Oak.
