QUERCUS muehlenbergii CHINKAPIN OAK

Chinkapin Oak is a native of the Midwest and is a natural choice for harsh, windswept locations. Its leaves may in some cases be almost lance-shaped and with their crenations pointing forward, somewhat resembling the flint arrows of Native Americans.  The leaves are just a smaller version of the Swamp White Oak.
