Magic Carpet Spirea is a compact variety featuring new red growth that transitions to dark yellow-green as the season progresses. It produces an abundance of deep pink flowers and showcases bright red to russet foliage late into fall. If deadheaded, it will re-bloom. Mature plants in full sunlight can have golden leaves, while those in partial shade display greenish-gold foliage, and in full shade, bright green leaves. This shrub is ideal for mass plantings, borders, walkways, paths, foundations, or as standalone specimens. When first planted, Spirea need extra watering.
